My book is called Secret Fire it is by Johanna Lindsey. The genre of my book is realistic
fiction/romance. This book takes place in Victorian London; in this book the
main characters are Katherine St. John and Dimitri Alexandrov. Katherine is
short, thin, and a brunette, she has large turquoise eyes and is well known for
her abilities to adapt; she is also known for her calm demeanor. Dimitri is
tall, blond, and has brown eyes, he is known for being able to charm just about
anyone, and has an explosive temper. Both of there lives change after a fateful
encounter, after which they are stuck with each other. This tale continues as
Dimitri tries and fails multiple times to charm Katherine. As the story progresses they begin to grow
fond for each other, however fate has other plans. This book has a bittersweet
mood, and will charm and anger you until the last page. The theme is that
seemingly terrible events can end up changing your life for the better. I loved
this book because the characters were sweet and endearing with as many layers
as an onion. The most memorable part is when Dimitri confronts his aunt about
the terrible things that she did to Katherine. I would recommend this book to
anyone with time on their hands that loves to see characters become real on the
page. This book teaches beautiful lessons about life and love, and will leave a
reader with a sense of fulfillment. Others should read this because the things
taught in this book will help them in life. This is one of my personal
favorites and I am glad to share it with you.
